Hapiness, the debut collaboration between Survival and London based Merdumgiriz records is experimental hardcore. Through the dark spinal bones of thick drums, Nick’s throaty razorblade vocals paint the canvas of colorful Californian guitars and pulsating velvety bass. Mixing elements of hard rock, punk, thrash metal and electronic music filtered through a world of psychedelia; the album is a highly original slab of melodic east coast heaviness and depression. Complete with the insanity of the 90ies style urban decadence lyrics and artwork, all made by the man who makes the music itself, this release and the genius behind it is more than a fine addition to the mental asylum brotherhood of Merdumgiriz Records.

Survival is a hardcore/thrash group from the California Bay Area. Since the band's conception in 2009, Nick Noro is the only original member and sole songwriter. After years of lineup changes and the death of original bassist Sam Vincent, the lineup has remained consistent and recorded 2012's "Love God" record at Castle Ultimate with Zack Ohren. The group has opened for bands such as Attitude Adjustment, Lecherous Gaze, and Hot Lunch as well as eclectic groups such as Japanther and Chippy Nonstop. Nick Noro has released over 200 lo-fi demos via the Internet under the Survival moniker in addition to the band's professional recordings ("Love God" "Unity" "Shayda").

As with his work on all Merdumgiriz releases, each Hapiness CD is handmade by Emir Togrul (YAYLA, ViRANESiR, BLLiiGGHHTTED); who sprays the discs, cuts and inserts the prints for the jewel case, hand-paints the t-shirts and patches and pretty much makes everything from scratch.
